The second Blossom House hotel project, the hotel is located in Shandong Yishui, China. Both exterior and interior signages were designed. In this project, I tried playing around with yellow limestone and rusted iron, carving the map on the stone, so that the shadow can play a part in the signage. However, the downside of this design is that every exterior signage needs external lighting, the signage isn't self-luminous. Because the resort features a natural and relaxing environment, I wanted to keep the same feeling in the signage design as well. I made a mistake here on the toilet sign using the singular word man and woman where they are supposed to be plural.
花間堂ホテル第2回目のサインデザインです。このプロジェクトでは、黄色い石灰岩と錆びた鉄で遊んでみたり、石に地図を彫ったりして、影が看板の一部分のようにしまた。しかし、このデザインの欠点は、すべての外部看板に外部照明が必要で、看板は自発光式ではないということでした。このリゾートはナチュラルでリラックスできる環境が特徴なので、看板のデザインにも同じ感覚を残したいでした。トイレのサインで、複数形のはずのmanとwomanを単数形にしてしまったのは失敗でした。反省しています。
